We help bridge the gap in the annual budget

The Foundation’s goal is to secure resources from the community by raising awareness of the importance of education and developing partnerships with local businesses. With these resources, the Foundation enriches many classrooms by providing items not traditionally funded within the annual school budget.

How It Works

The Foundation hosts three fundraisers throughout the year where individuals and businesses can show their support by making a donation. Funds are distributed to the students and teachers through mini-grants and scholarships.

 

Back to School Raffle

Proceeds from this year’s raffle will support additional classroom resources, technology, and interactive learning materials to the ten Amherst County Public Schools.

Student Showcase Luncheon

The Amherst County Education Foundation’s annual fundraising luncheon was held on February 15th at Sweet Briar College. Thanks to an outstanding performance by the Amherechos, the event raised over $4,000.

Annual Golf Tournament

As students wrap up the 2020-2021 school year, the Amherst County Public Schools Education Foundation is hosting the 18th Annual Captain’s Choice Golf Tournament on Friday, July 16th at Winton Golf Course.
